Hi. I thought you might be interested in this creative online jam I set up. It’s an online event that encourages children, and anyone else who wants to get involved, to create something inspired by an amazing object or work of art you’ve found in an online museum or gallery. That’s your treasure! I created it because I realise a lot of parents, child minders, etc are going to be under pressure to keep their children entertained over the foreseeable weeks (it was inspired by a discussion on the Museums Computer Group mailing list), so I hope this helps take some of that pressure off.

Make whatever you want to inspired by your museum object or work of art – a game, story, poetry, art, music, film, picture, or even a cat dressed up as Boudica, or a knitted velociraptor dinosaur, and upload them. If you can’t upload your creation (eg because it’s not physically possible to upload a 3D printed model of Mary Seacole, or a Victoria sponge cake in the shape of Queen Victoria), you can upload images, videos and text to the Treasure Jam page instead to show us what you’ve created.

Full details and resources here: https://itch.io/jam/treasure-jam
